is Mine is more than a web address, it’s a statement
of ownership, entitlement and pride. It is the embodiment
of web 2.0—the video web—technology, creativity
and interactivity. Most of all, it is built by, for,
and about, women.
We are a web and mobile destination for original shows
with short daily episodes, thought-provoking ideas,
humor, games, video music, news, shopping and social
networking. As a global
destination, we have URL’s/sites in 22 countries
around the world. Here’s what you can expect
from us when we go live in December 2008.

Minute Meals, a kooky ‘beat the
clock’ cooking show with a real chef,
recipes, and cooking tips, all wrapped up in
the challenge of creating a full meal in just
five minutes. Chef Aida Rodriguez is a stand-up
comedian and a barefoot cook who learned the
art from her Abuela, her Cuban/ Dominican/
Puerto Rican grandmother, and who brings a
fresh attitude to preparing fresh food fast.
All episodes are shot in Spanish and English
versions.

women and single mother families off the street
and into housing and job training so they can
make meaningful change in their lives. That’s
where TN comes in, we bring dental, optical,
hair, nails, skin, wardrobe and make-up experts
to get one lucky woman each week ready for
her all important job interviews. The tips
are fun and useful for all of us, and the wrenching
stories of each of these women remind us all
just how tenuous our hold is on the security
we cherish—a huge hospital bill, a lost
job, a disability, or an addiction—homelessness
could happen to any of us, given the right
(or wrong) circumstances.

Polytrauma2 The
Los Angeles Veterans Hospital is home to a Polytrauma
2 unit, run by a woman and staffed by a dedicated
doctors and healthcare workers struggling to
help wounded vets from Afghanistan and Iraq,
whose multiple-life-threatening injuries have
been stabilized at one of four Polytrauma One
units in the US. In Polytrauma 2 the patients
receive prosthetic limbs, skin grafts, brain
injury rehabilitation, adaptations for loss of
sight and hearing, and life skills. They fight
to come back from injuries what would have killed
them in previous conflicts, but thanks to advances
in battlefield medicine have now been saved.
But, saved for what? On Polytrauma2 we get to
know the men and women who have become the unfortunate
standard in modern warfare—the multiple
injury casualty, and the men and women determined
to bring them back to health.
